Whitman Home Sales Cluster Tightly, Half of Transfers Skip Disclosed Price

Ten property deeds were recorded in Whitman between July 31 and Aug. 29, but only five disclosed a sale price, ranging from $470 to $615 with a median of $550. The month's top disclosed sale was 27 Erin St. at $615, sold by Norman E. and Nancy A. Smith to Eric and Catherine Brunelle. Five of the 10 transfers, exactly half, involved sellers and buyers sharing family names, consistent with trust or estate transfers, and none of those five disclosed a price. No two sales shared a street name. The data shows a modest, evenly split month between disclosed market-rate sales and undisclosed family transfers.
