The Town of Whitman announced Oct. 29 that it has completed the state-required five-year revaluation of all real and personal property in town, as mandated by Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40, Section 56. The work was done in conjunction with Catalis Tax and Cama, Inc.

The new fiscal 2027 values are based on sales activity during calendar year 2025 and reflect property ownership as of Jan. 1, 2026.

As part of the revaluation process, the Board of Assessors is required to post the preliminary new values for public review. Those values will be available on the town's website, and in the Assessors' Office, starting Monday, Nov. 2, 2026, through Monday, Nov. 9, 2026. The review period runs for five business days.

Residents with questions about the values are asked to contact the Assessor's Office. The office is located at Town Hall, 54 South Ave., Whitman. Office hours are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The office is closed Fridays. The Assessor's Office can be reached at 781-618-9760.
