Other Committee · Meeting of October 22, 2026
Whitman's Economic Development Committee began setting fiscal 2027 goals without taking action on them. Meeting for the first time since disbanding in the spring, the committee unanimously passed over its prior minutes after a recording problem. Members said a state earmark for the downtown revitalization plan sits in conference committee and that the town missed a master plan grant for the third consecutive year.
They discussed forming a downtown business association, inviting Matt Dyer to a future meeting, and the Zoning Board of Appeals approval of a Starbucks, Jersey Mike's and Chipotle behind Sattlers, with groundbreaking expected in February.
