Selectmen hold Whitman trash fee at $435 for FY27

Whitman's Board of Selectmen held the fiscal 2027 trash fee at $435. The board voted 3-0 with one abstention, rejecting the DPW Commission's $420 recommendation after members argued it leaves indirect costs uncovered. Town Administrator Sabrina Chilcott said she was worried about lowering the fee.
