At its June 17 meeting, the board voted to post a town administrator position immediately after Town Administrator Mary Beth Carter reported that Community Paradigm Associates and Bridgewater State University each quoted $15,000 for a full search process — a cost members rejected as too slow and too expensive given Carter's anticipated departure within months. The approved salary range of $167,000 to $177,000 drew concern from member Sean Lally, who noted that comparable towns are paying upward of $200,000: "Abington went to Kingston. It was 200.
