Whitman Assessors approve $84,319 motor vehicle excise commitment for 2025

WHITMAN — September 23, 2025 — Whitman Board of Assessors approves $84,319 motor vehicle excise commitment in a six-minute meeting. The board, meeting Tuesday, September 23, unanimously approved Motor Vehicle Excise Commitment No. 5 for 2025, totaling $84,319.47, after the Principal Assessor presented the item without extended debate. Members also signed abatement packets covering tax years 2023 through 2025, with corrected totals of $873.59, $2,182.76, and $1,431.13 respectively, plus a 2013 reopen item of $26.88 handled by staff. The board opened at 4:45 p.m. and adjourned at 4:51 p.m.
