Whitman Board of Assessors unanimously reappoints Jackie Mulhehy as town assessor for fiscal year 2027. The board voted without dissent to reappoint Mulhehy for a full 12-month term running July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027 with an updated salary, following a brief performance review in which each member praised her work. We get no surprises," one member said. The board also approved a motor vehicle and trailer excise tax commitment of $124,571.30 — the fourth such commitment of the fiscal year — along with abatements totaling $3,450.05 across tax years 2025 and 2026, a $3,268.51 administrative reclassification of a 2018 real estate bill as a Section 41B deferral, and a $50 refund on an income and expense fine sent to a wrong address.
