WHITMAN — April 7, 2026 — Whitman Board of Registrars votes to eliminate in-person early voting for all 2026 town elections. The four-member board — Yvonne Evans, Joyce Anise, Adele Carew, and Dawn Farley — took the action unanimously at its annual organizational meeting on April 7, a session that lasted just four minutes. Mail-in early voting remains available to residents. The board also re-elected Evans as chair on a 4-0 vote, reappointed Assistant Town Clerk Michael Ganchert as Assistant Registrar and Siobhan Horton of Whitman-Hanson Regional School to assist with voter registration duties, authorized the town clerk's use of a facsimile signature stamp for election and legal documents, and held the price of the registered voters list book at $15.
