WHITMAN — January 20, 2026 — Whitman Conservation Commission issues enforcement orders against two properties for wetland violations. The commission voted unanimously Tuesday to order 8 Wild Turkey Lane and Columbia Auto Realty Trust at 681 Temple Street to immediately cease and desist from activity in wetland buffer zones, with restoration plans due to the commission by February 3, 2026, under DEP file numbers 340-0317 and 340-0463 respectively. Members noted that courts may impose monetary penalties under the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act if the orders are ignored, and said the building inspector will be notified of both enforcement actions.
