Whitman CPC Holds Informational Meeting, Lacks Quorum for Reorganization Vote
WHITMAN — September 16, 2025 — Whitman's Community Preservation Committee met without quorum Tuesday, using the session as a public informational meeting on the Community Preservation Act and the upcoming funding cycle. Chair Ryan Trestle reported account balances as of June 30: the undesignated general fund holds more than $586,000, the open space and recreation account holds approximately $54,000, the historical account approximately $17,000, and the housing account just over $9,000. Trestle noted that the Select Board's office has already requested application materials and plans to submit a project. Pre-applications are due October 15, with full applications due January 21, 2026; interested parties can email cpc@whitman-ma.gov. A planned reorganization vote was tabled for lack of quorum, with the next meeting tentatively set for November 4 at 5:30 p.m. if pre-applications are received, or February 3, 2026 otherwise.
