Whitman Assessors Approve Preliminary FY26 Tax Figures in Five-Minute Meeting

WHITMAN — June 17, 2025 — Whitman Board of Assessors sets preliminary FY26 tax totals at a five-minute session. Meeting with only two of three members present on June 17, the board unanimously approved a preliminary real estate levy of $16,928,423.24 — which includes a Community Preservation Act component of $126,598.82 — and a separate personal property tax figure of $823,399.40. Members also accepted a lone 2013 motor vehicle excise reopening totaling $26.88. Approval of prior meeting minutes and a pending executive session item were tabled to the board's next meeting, scheduled for July 8, due to the incomplete quorum and absence of required materials.
